Region Leine-Weser: 280,000 euros in funding for hydrogen projects!
The Hydrogen Network Leine-Weser recently received support of around 279,900 euros, as can be seen in a joint message from the districts and the Hanover region. The money comes from the Local Ministry for Environment, nature conservation and nuclear security. The funds are intended for professional network management, events and the development of sustainable projects in the field of hydrogen technology.
The network consists of the districts of Diepholz, Hameln-Pyrmont, Hildesheim, Holzminden, Nienburg/Weser, Schaumburg and the Hanover region, which has increasingly striving to strengthen the hydrogen economy in the past two years. District Administrator Michael Schünemann von Holzminden said that many companies in the region rely on green hydrogen in order to replace fossil fuels. This shows the urgency and meaning that the region of this development suggests. The total project costs are around 465,000 euros, and the landscape representative Frauke Patzke sees the funding a chance to "draw even more potential from this merger and to put up with us", as in the message of Work is emphasized.
forward into the future
The representatives of the hydrogen network continued their visits at the beginning of December, for example at Ahrens Solar- und Dachtechnik GmbH in Bückeburg to intensify cooperation. Professional network management is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025. The network plan to build on the successes already achieved in order to promote the development of hydrogen projects. Detlev Kohlmeier, District Administrator of Nienburg/Weser, underlined the advantages of hydrogen as a replacement for fossil fuels and as a long -term memory for renewable energy.
The district councilors of the districts involved and the regional president of Hanover have already signed an explanation for joint implementation, which forms the basis for this important funding. The aim is to secure the hydrogen network sustainably beyond 2027 and to set decisive impulses for regional development.
