Urbantschitsch will deal with the legal challenges of the energy transition in particular at the WU. This transformation, which affects the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, is characterized by legal framework conditions and political requirements. "I would like to research the legal aspects of the energy transition," said Urbantschitsch and emphasized the need for effective legal control of the energy system. There is a particular focus on ensuring sustainable energy supply, also from political change, a topic of enormous importance for future energy policy, as he emphasized.

In addition, Urbantschitsch plans to promote understanding of complex energy -related relationships through interactive teaching methods and practical examples. This is intended to arouse the interest of the students in the topic of energy. His work as a professor will therefore be of great relevance not only in the academic field, but also for the practical implementation of energy law issues in order to develop fair solutions for the upcoming transition to renewable energy.
