Wiener Konzerthaus, 1010 Wien, Österreich - In the Vienna concert hall, the young Austrian jazz ensemble Shake Stew, together with the Syrian-French flutist Naïssam Jalal, developed a captivating musical spectacle. With their current project "Bakunawa", which refers to a gigantic kite from the Filipino mythology, they took the audience on a magical journey. Naïssam Jalal, invited as a special highlight of the evening, set a special grade not only to the band's own compositions, but also their own pieces from the "Healing Rituals" series, which are inspired by the elements of wind and sun. With a smile, Kranzelbinder explained that the mythical being Bakunawa "can only be sold with the noise of pans and pots" - an allusion to the impressive impact works by Herbert Pirker and Niki Dolp, who helped shape the evening.

According to Kranzelbinder, the combination of western jazz and oriental elements amazed the audience. Shake Stew was already preparing for further exciting appearances, including on the occasion of the Tschirgart Jazz Festival on April 30 in Tyrol and two evenings in Bangalore, India, on March 14 and 15. The band brings their "pans and pots" on their journey - a certain guarantee that the powerful energy of Bakunawa does not lose.
