Designing the future: 130 young people will find apprenticeships in AZV Vorarlberg!

In the Vorarlberg training center (AZV) in Austria, investments are made strongly: the labor market service (AMS) is heading for 3.1 million euros, while the state of Vorarlberg provides another 1.1 million euros to offer a total of 130 apprenticeship seekers an apprenticeship. In this innovative program, twelve different professions are trained, which range from metal, electrical and wood technology to bicycle mechatronics and retail, as vorarlberg.orf . Particular attention is paid to the individual social pedagogical support of the young people, who are trained in parallel to their practice -oriented qualifications at the state vocational school. "The apprenticeship training lasts until the young people have found an apprenticeship in a company," explains Ams-Landes Managing Director Bernhard Bereuter.

With equivalent treatment with regard to training allowance, the apprentices are not only on paper at the same level as their colleagues in regular apprenticeships. Last year, 18 young people successfully completed the final apprenticeship exam and were taught in Vorarlberg, which underlines the relevance of this practice -oriented training. Close cooperation with local companies is a crucial aspect of training in AZV and enables young people to gain experience in real projects. Companies also have the option of integrating and further training to integrate promising young specialists directly into their companies. According to Ams.at a total of 382 women and 568 men who were supported by the AMS were conveyed in company teaching.
