In a shocking incident in Villach, a woman tried to benefit from a recent terrorist attack by demanding a so-called "assassination discount" in a shop. The business owner was stunned by this unscrupulous demand. She confirmed to 5 min.at that she was initially perplexed and unable to react to it: "I was flabbergasted and knew nothing to answer." The situation won a dreary grade, as candles were burned for a 14-year-old boy who had been a victim of the attack just a few meters away. The conversation ended abruptly after the business owner had referred the woman to the door.

"There is still room for improvement, but we have potential," said Brunner and emphasized the need for a common approach of the city and its entrepreneurs. Hönlein confirmed this by pointing out that tourism plays an important role. "Those who recognized this are still there," he continued and emphasized the importance of better preparing for upcoming events.

The city is changing, as Albel noted, and the mix of gastronomy, trade and services designs the future. Despite the challenges, the entrepreneurs are optimistic that cooperation and innovative concepts will help to make the city center of Villach more attractive in the future.
