The financial difficulties of the two companies are above all the result of Covid-19 pandemic, increased costs and problems with credit management. Gössl GmbH, known for the production of outerwear, has over -indebtedness of around 8.13 million euros, while Gössl Gwand GmbH, active in retail, is fighting around 3.39 million euros. In addition, the company's business has deteriorated, including due to the bridging loans on the part of the house bank and late support payments from Cofag, such as reports from 5min.at . Negotiations on runtime extension or debt rescheduling failed.
a company with tradition
founded in 1947, Gössl has established himself in the high -quality traditional costume area. Despite the current economic turbulence, business should remain open. Effects of the energy crisis and changes in the buying behavior of customers have contributed to the current situation. Gössl Trachten GmbH, which held the trademark rights, is not affected by bankruptcy because it is not operational. Both companies plan to continue the business in the existing structure and to implement the corresponding measures for renovation.
