The court influenced her assessment that the perpetrator suffers from "paranoid schizophrenia in an acute phase". The statements indicate that the man was incapable of guilt at the time of the attack, but this does not reduce his danger. The judges spoke of a "conceivably simple case", and after less than half an hour the decision had been made: the Syrian remains in a closed psychiatry.
