Bloody drama in Spandau: Knife attack demands deaths!

In the nightly Berlin-Spandau there is a bitter conflict: two men are seriously injured with a knife in a heated argument with several people. One of the men later succumbed to his injuries in the Vivantes Clinic Spandau. At around 10:30 p.m., the police are called by shaken eyewitnesses in the streets on the cap and Borkzeile, where the drama takes its course. On a playground in the Borkzeile, the life -threatened man is discovered - his agonizing need through deep injuries on the face and stomach unmistakably, he desperately calls for help. At the same time, there is another injured man with worrying stab wounds in the street on the cap.

It was a weather -light evening in Dallgower Straße and Staakener Straße when the tensions between several people increased and finally escalated violently. The police encountered a confused scenery in which several suspects were arrested in the vicinity of the incidents. The exact details of the conflict are still unclear, but it could be a dispute among refugees, since both victims could possibly have a migration background. A murder commission determines feverishly to bring clarity into the terrible drama.

In the middle of these fatal events, the voice of the outrage arises: The union of the police (GdP) calls for a rigorosis ban on knives in public. "Messers make murderers," explains GdP spokesman Benjamin Jendro emphatically. In Spandau and elsewhere, groups of adolescents are increasingly seen in conflicts in which stab weapons are used. A general prohibition of such dangerous objects in public is long overdue in order to break through the increasing spiral of violence and increase safety on the streets.

The tragedy is part of a series of brutal arguments in the region. Already last weekend there was a massive fight in Münsinger Park, in which around 60 people were involved and a 17-year-old was seriously injured. The fast knives also sound in the nocturnal silence of the city and leave a trace of concern among the residents.
