In a dramatic accident in Gleisdorf, an incident occurred on Monday afternoon, which brought two young girls into the focus of the police. The two girls, at the age of twelve and 13, were traveling with an e-scooter on Franz-Josef-Straße when they wanted to cross an intersection. According to the police, they drove at "rapid speed", but the twelve -year -old driver decided without stopping the street. She crashed into the car of a 54-year-old woman. The impact was huge, the 13-year-old was thrown over the bonnet and windshield and landed directly on the road. She had to be brought from the Red Cross to the Graz children's clinic, while the slightly injured driver of the e-scooter initially removed from the scene of the accident.

Another incident that happened near Gleisdorf around the same time affects two girls who drove the Sonnenstrasse towards Zobelstrasse with an e-scooter on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. When crossing the Sonnenstrasse/Buterlandstraße intersection, there was a collision with a gray small car, the driver of which then left away from the accident site without injury. The man is about 40 years old and is urgently asked to report to the police. Witnesses are also asked to report to the traffic commissioner in Ahaus.
The two incidents raise questions about safety in road traffic and commemorate the responsibility of all road users, especially car drivers and e-scooter users. Such accidents underline the need to remain attentive and to follow the traffic rules. The police have started the investigation and hopes for relevant information from the population.
