Train cancellations in Halle: Nights of closures and bus replacement services!
Attention, travelers! Halle (Saale) main station will be a bottleneck at the weekend! Due to urgent work on the control and safety technology, the station will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the nights of November 29th to December 2nd. A nightmare for commuters and travelers: all trains are canceled!
There will be massive outages for the S-Bahn lines S3 and S5/S5X from November 27th. Instead of the usual trains, passengers have to switch to buses. The list of affected connections is long and causes confusion: The RE16/RB25 is canceled between Halle Hbf and Merseburg Hbf, as is the RE4/RE24/RB47 between Halle Hbf and Halle-Trotha. The RE8/RE9/S7 connection between Halle Hbf and Eisleben will also remain closed for the entire weekend!
Important information for travelers
- RE30: Ausfall Halle Hbf <> Niemberg
- S3: Ausfall Schkeuditz <> Halle-Nietleben
- S5/S5X: Ausfall Leipzig Hbf <> Halle Hbf
- S8: Ausfall Halle Hbf <> Landsberg
- S47: Ausfall Halle Hbf <> Halle-Trotha
However, there is a solution for the affected passengers: rail replacement buses are available! In the Halle urban area, travelers must use the city trams and buses instead of the S3 and S47 lines. So be warned and plan your trips carefully to avoid getting stuck in the chaos!
