From next year, the new water association "Nienburger Land" will take responsibility for the water supply and wastewater disposal of around 100,000 people. This major upheaval means the end of the six previous companies in the area of drinking water and waste water, which have so far been led by the district association for water management!

The managing director of the district association, Gaylord Kurre, emphasizes that the old organizational structure has long been overtaken and urgently needs to be modernized. The merger of a water management association is considered essential to meet the requirements of the future. The upcoming political resolutions are now at the center, since all velvet communities have already agreed, except for the County of Hoya, which still has to make a decision.

The new regulations not only promise efficient management, but also savings of around 280,000 euros annually. These savings are to be achieved through central management and the removal of redundant administrative structures. "The prices and fees for customers remain unchanged," says Joachim Oltmann, deputy managing director, soothing news. Rather, the challenge is to increase the quality of the services! Instead of isolated one-man departments, there will be a robust team in the new association, which benefits the service to the citizens.
