Tragic end: 16-year-olds found frozen in Innichen!

In a tragic incident, a 16-year-old girl from Germany was found dead in the Innichen area on Friday. The young vacationer, S.R., had gone on a walk in the morning, but did not return to her parents, who stayed in a mountain farm in the area. When the concerned relatives informed the police, an extensive search, the volunteer fire brigades, mountain rescues and the financial police mobilized, as the daily newspaper reported. Despite a quick use of search units and a helicopter with thermal imaging camera, the search was initially unsuccessful.

Around 3:45 p.m. the tragic message finally came: S.R. was found lifeless in rough terrain, not far from a hiking trail. The first reports indicate that it may be frozen. Resuration measures were initiated immediately, but the emergency doctor could only determine the girl's death. The removal of the body was organized with a helicopter and the remains brought to the nearby hospital. The emergency pastoral care of the White Cross was supported by relatives in this difficult time, as was mentioned in the operational report by the mountain rescue spokesman Willi Feicht.

Two hours earlier, on Friday afternoon, another accident occurred in Lech in the Bludenz district, where a 20-year-old vacationer was seriously injured in a fall. The woman was alone on the eastern slope of the Kriegerhorn and wanted to drive back on the ski slope. She fell hard, as the ORF Vorarlberg reported. A doctor who randomly present immediately helped first aid, and the seriously injured was flown to the State Hospital Feldkirch with the emergency helicopter.
