Weimar. The Buchenwald memorial adapts to the winter time!
From November 1, 2024, new opening times apply in the Buchenwald memorial, which will remain in force until March 31, 2025. Visitors should prepare for the winter opening times: the museums open on Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last admission at 3:30 p.m. The outdoor facilities are accessible daily until dawn. Attention: On the holidays from December 24th to 26th and December 31st and January 1, 2025, the entire memorial remains closed, and there are no tours!

Visitors can receive information on Tuesdays to Sundays and on public holidays from 9 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Multimedia guides are also available for an individual tour on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public tours for individual visitors are offered on Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays, with the times between November and March at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In December to February, the tours are only available at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.A special meeting point is the Café Paul, which is operated by an inclusive team from the Weimar/Apolda Lebenshilfewerk. Here guests can take a little break from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
