Timetable changes: Fewer buses for Weimar from Monday!

The bus drivers in Weimar are faced with a dramatic situation! Due to acute lack of personnel, the timetable of lines 2, 7 and 9 is drastically thinned out. From Monday, line 2, which drives from Bodelschwinghstraße to Shakespearestrasse, will travel every 20 minutes until 8 a.m. and then every 30 minutes. Line 7, which connects Schöndorf with Weimar West, will also drive every 20 minutes until 6 p.m. and then every 30 minutes. For students and commuters there is additional trips in the morning between 7.20 a.m. and 7.40 a.m. But that's not all!

less buses, longer waiting times!

Line 9, which connects Goetheplatz with Süßenborn, will only drive every 90 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., however, the bus returns to the usual timetable. Line 1, which leads from Weimar-Nord to Ehringsdorf, Taubach and Belvedere, has changed departure times, but remains constant at the intervals. These changes are a direct consequence of the lack of personnel that affects the local transport companies in the region.

The effects are noticeable: commuters and students have to adapt to longer waiting times and less flexibility. The city of Weimar faces a challenge that raises many questions. How long will this shortage of drivers will last? And what does that mean for the mobility of the citizens? The situation remains tense and the travelers have to adjust to the new timetables!
