Traffic chaos in West Thuringia: full closures by the end of 2024!

In Thuringia it bubbles on the streets! Construction sites and closures shape the image and ensure massive traffic disruptions. The state road in Großburschla is particularly affected, which remains completely closed until the end of the year. Lines are laid here and traffic is diverted in consequences. The road on the cave becomes a one -way street, while the Hessian path can only be passed in eastern direction. New stops are also in force, and buses have to turn in the parking lot at the sports field.

Large construction site in Gotha and other closures

in Gotha on August 8, a large construction site started on Enckestrasse, which is supposed to last for a whole year. The most important sewer in the city, the Tallage collector, is expanded to meet the rising wastewater volume through the new settlements in the Gotha-Süd industrial estate. Traffic is diverted via Seeberg and Oststraße, while truck traffic is led via the European Crossing to the B247. The Reyherstrasse remains unaffected by the closures.

But that's not all! The B247 between Ohrdruf and Hohenkirchen is closed from both sides until November 30, 2024, since the Gehrengraben Bridge is replaced. Traffic is diverted via Herrenhof, Nauendorf and Gräfenhain. The L2099 between Bollstedt and Görmar is also closed until December 31, while the street from Friedrichroda to the Rennsteig is also fully blocked due to the new building of a retaining wall. These measures lead to considerable displeasure with residents and road users!

And that's not all: the last construction phase of the passage through the town in Neudietendorf will be tackled by May 2025. Here Kornhochheimer Straße is completely closed between the roundabout and the Herrnhuter Weg intersection. The diversion takes place via the roundabout and apple stall. The residents have long been excited about the years of planning and delays!
