Christmas magic from Gefell: Aid packages for children in Eastern Europe!
Gefell. Christmas is just around the corner, and the bookstore Gefell tackles! Here the Christmas packages are stacked for needy children in Eastern Europe. Antje Krüger, Dagmar Schmidt and her committed team collect lovingly filled boxes for the gift campaign of the Bible mission until November 29. Almost 60 packages were sent last year - a real success!
The prefabricated boxes are ready for collection in the bookshop. Each package must have the same content, including toys, chocolate, toothpaste and even painting pencils. "A donation is anonymous, but here I know that the gift is arriving," says Antje Krüger, who has been involved in the campaign since 2017. It even supports a godchild in Kazakhstan with a monthly 30 euros. A small donation of five euros is requested for the transport of the packages.
Aid campaign of the Bible mission
The packages are brought directly to the central warehouse of the Bible mission near Aschaffenburg and from there by truck to Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. Dagmar Schmidt reports: "The Christmas presents reach needy families and children's homes." With the packages, the children are brought up to the children of Christmas, often in the form of a children's bible or a book on Christmas story. If you want, you can even ride and distribute the packages personally - registration is required!
