On October 3, the day of German unity, various events are on the program in the Saale-Holzland, which are interesting for both locals and visitors.

A highlight will be the big "thank you demo" in Hermsdorf. From 7 p.m. there will be sung together on the Rathausplatz. The event is designed by the BTU and three trombone choirs, which together ensure a uniform and atmospheric experience. Visitors are invited to sing the coached song texts and experience a feeling of togetherness and gratitude. The initiator of the event, Every Zabel, invites everyone to bring a candle with you to make the evening more festive. Benches provided for a cozy atmosphere, and it is planned to complete the event with a small fireworks. Moderations are taken over by the mayors and representatives of the local communities to traditionally accompany the evening.

Another attraction on October 3 is the wine tasting in the picturesque side Roda, which is at the foot of the Leuchtenburg. The tradition of viticulture is revived here. Under the supervision of the sponsoring group, around 1,500 vines grow, which provide insights into the art of viticulture. From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., interested parties have the opportunity to learn more about the vines and their processing in the Vinotop Bioweinut in Dorfstraße 32a and try different wines. A truly culinary experience!

In addition, the 24th Milo-Barus-Cup takes place in the Eisenberger Mühltal. From 1 p.m., the strongest men in various disciplines, including wearing the suitcase, are measured here, sandbag elevation and wooden tray. The family program starts at 11 a.m. and offers exciting entertainment for young and old. The admission opens an hour before the competitions, while visitors have the opportunity to visit the Milo-Barus exhibition in the nearby Meuschkensmühle. The athletes show their skills in a variety of powerful disciplines, which promises a very entertaining experience for the audience.
