Locking of the L1075: Start of construction in the Saale-Holzland district on Monday!
Saale-Holzland-Kreis. From Monday, October 14th, a significant renovation on Landstrasse 1075 between the Schöngleina exit and the branch to Ruttersdorf begins. The aim of the work is to renew the heavily stressed road blanket, which has not been fundamentally repaired since 1990.
The country road is divided into two construction phases. First, the work focuses on the section between Schöngleina and the junction to Scheiditz. This area that extends over 2.35 kilometers is expected to take about six to eight weeks. The estimated costs for this first section amount to around 1.19 million euros. Then the second section, which extends over 1.34 kilometers from the Scheiditz junction to the Ruttersdorf junction, is being renovated with costs of around 680,000 euros.
reasons for the renovation
The decision to renovate is justified by the poor condition of the road. According to the Thuringian State Office for Construction and Transport, the underground of the road is not sustainable enough, which is tightened by wearing the existing asphalt layers. The thick asphalt ceiling of 16 to 18 centimeters shows visible deformations, especially in the climbing area between Schöngleina and the edge of the forest. These defects can not only affect driving quality, but also cause problems with road drainage and winter service.
The renovation work is urgently necessary to ensure the safety and durability of the road. "So far, surface renovations and an exchange of the cover layer have so far only been partially carried out," emphasizes the state office. The investments are intended to ensure that the road meets future requirements.
detour and changes in local transport
During the construction work, drivers have to expect a diversion. The traffic is diverted from Schöngleina to Bürgel, Serba and despite the Bad Klosterlausnitz junction. Alternative routes are also available for access to the Triebe fruit goods, which is possible from different sides. Despite the construction work, the connection from Jena to orchard remains unhindered.
The upcoming work also has an impact on public transport. Bus lines 47, 472 and 473 are affected, which are diverted during the construction period. In particular, lines 472 and 473 lead to bypass the construction site area via Lucka, Rodigast and Talürgel. The regular Schöngleina stop cannot be approached, instead a replacement stop was set up at the intersection of Hauptstraße/in the Unterdorf/in the Oberdorf. The Scheiditz stop, junction, is also not replaced without replacement, while the Bobeck and Scheiditz stops are only served sporadically.
