Advent highlights and mourning support

On Tuesday, December 3, the Ellrich secondary school opens its doors for a festive open house that is combined with a Christmas market. From 1.30 p.m., students, parents and interested parties can gain exciting insights into the school world at Hospitalstraße 36 and try out at various stations. The school support association takes care of the physical well -being - a festival for the whole family!

But not only joy is on the program: The outpatient hospice and palliative advisory service invites mourners to a sensitive funeral café in Otto-Ludwig-Strasse 2. The meetings take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the winter months, with the next dates on December 4, January 8 and February 5. Here those affected can share their thoughts and emotions in a protected space.

Another highlight awaits nature lovers on December 7th at 2 p.m.: A free forest tour in the Friedwald Sangerhausen. The Friedwald Forester provide exciting insights into the different types of grave and the possibilities of burial. and for literary enthusiasts there will be an Advent reading in the Nordhausen City Library on December 12th at 6.30 p.m. with the popular Harz author Katrin Hotowetz. She will read from her “fires”, which address exciting criminal cases and old Harz customs - perfect for the peaceful Christmas season! Tickets are available in the city library.
