A fascinating lecture on the senses will take place on Wednesday, December 4, at 5 p.m. in the South Harz Clinic. Chief physician Jens Büntzel will kidnap the audience into the world of smell and taste, skills that are crucial for the quality of life. Patients who fight with impairments after radiation or corona infection will benefit from this topic. Admission is free and questions are welcome!

Advent sounds and festive markets

The anticipation for Christmas is increasing! The choir rhythm 22 brings a festive atmosphere with a varied repertoire on December 8th at 5 p.m. in the church of St. Johannis in Urbach and on December 14th at 2 p.m. in the church of St. Mauritius in Görsbach. From classic Christmas carols to thrilling gospel - there is something for everyone!

On the same day, the old town of Northern House turns into a "short Christmas mile". From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can expect handicrafts, live music and culinary delicacies on Barfüßerstraße. The shops also open their doors and invite you to browse.

Jazz lovers will get their money's worth on December 7th in the “Jazz lack” jazz club. The band "Absoluteely Sweet Marie" presents Bob Dylan's music in brass band style from 8 p.m. With a ticket price of 19 euros in advance or 24 euros at the box office, this event is a must for all music fans!

Another highlight is the Advent concert with the duo A'n'n 'on December 8th at 4 p.m. in the Sankt-Jacobi Church in Epschenrode, which is surrounded by a Christmas market. Here visitors can expect special stands and a children's carousel.

On December 14th, the director and author Christina Friedrich will be a guest in the club "Little Freedom". She introduces her novel "Keller", who tells the moving story of a girl who dies during the Second World War. Admission is free and the subsequent discussion promises exciting insights into the origin of the work.
