Weimar badminton stars celebrate double victory and conquer the top!

Weimar, Deutschland - A true badminton quake occurs in Weimar! The 1st Badmintonverein Weimar hovers on an incredible wave of success and continues to dominate the Thuringia League. With impressive triumphs, including a great 8-0 victory against Jena-Zwatzen, followed by a 6-2 success over the UPS Jena, the team is enthusiastic about first place-and completely without defeat!

But that wasn't all! Last weekend the highly expected 13th Weimar onion cup took place. Here the district league players once again showed the wood they were carved! The talented Lea Wenzel and Kathrin Bamberger from TSV Arnstadt triumphed in the women's doubles, who prevailed against Katja Bode and Kristin Koch (1. BV Weimar) as well as Rebecca Bickel and Juliane Scharfenberg-Reich (1. BC Schmalkalden). Steffen Franke and Jörg Bamberger from TSV Arnstadt deserved the men's doubles, while the Weimar Torsten Klein and Ralf Schubert had to be content with a solid third place. In the mixed double, the Arnstädter were also in a class in their own: Steffen Frank and Lea Wenzel secured first place!
