Jena, Deutschland - A radiant star in the training sky: Tom Bettermann from Jena did it! The talented trainee from Schott has completed his apprenticeship as a procedural mechanic for glass technology with the best results throughout Germany. What a performance! It is not only one of the best trainees in the country, but also one of the top three in the Free State of Thuringia. A reason to celebrate!
The honor by the IHK Ostthüringen was only the first step. On December 9th, Bettermann will be awarded the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) at the "National Order of Order in IHK professions" in Berlin. "This is a great award for me," beams the newly trained procedural mechanic. He hopes that his performance arouses interest in this exciting profession and encourages more young people to take this path.

Armin Vogl, the site manager of Schott in Jena, can hardly hold his enthusiasm back: "We are incredibly proud of Tom and are very happy for him. He is a prime example of training!"
