Experience the Jena psycho-choir: Open rehearsal for all music lovers!
The psycho-choir of the University of Jena, one of the most renowned choirs in Germany, opens its doors for all music enthusiasts! On Wednesday, November 6th, interested parties can take part in an open rehearsal from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and experience the fascinating world of choral singing up close.
As part of the nationwide "week of open choirs", organized by the German Choir Association, the choir offers the perfect opportunity to get an insight into rehearsal work and the community. "Singing together enriches everyday life," explains the choir director Maximilian Lörzer and invites everyone, whether with a lot or little choir experience. "Everyone can participate or just listen," he adds. Even if you don't want to actively sing, you are very welcome to look behind the scenes.
unique opportunity!
The open sample takes place in the Zeiss canteen in the Carl-Zeiss-promenade 6. Despite the regular entry samples and auditing, the psycho-choir takes part in this special campaign to welcome new faces in the choir community. The choir, which currently counts 63 members, is also preparing for its semester final concerts in February and recently achieved the impressive second place in the Pop/Jazz category at the German Choir Competition in Hanover in June 2023.
