jena. Attention, drivers and pedestrians: In Jena it is boiling! A total of 30 construction sites are currently underway and ensure massive traffic disruptions. The city administration warns: "Unless otherwise stated, you can get past the construction sites on foot and by bike." The coming weeks promise a challenge for all road users!

The Kahlaische Straße will be completely closed from November 18 to January 30, 2025! The reason is urgent slope protection and demolition work. Detours are signposted, but be warned: there could be long waiting times! The sidewalk will also be closed in Löbdergraben from November 18 to December 20, while the city channel will be renovated. Building material is stored here, but access to the adjacent houses remains possible at any time. In Wöllnitz there are also traffic restrictions that last until December 20, since fiber optic lines are laid here.

The flood of construction site does not tear off! At the brewery, the passage to paradise remains closed until December 20, while civil engineering work is carried out there for a new drinking water pipe. The Carl-Zeiß-Platz will also become a construction site until August 29, 2025, since the German optical museum is being renovated and rebuilt. The Carl-Zeiss promenade is closed on one side by December 20, while the district heating line and other media are connected. The road users have to adjust to numerous diversions!

Dammstrasse remains fully blocked until December 31, while lines are laid and the road surface is renewed. In Dornburger Straße, work will be carried out on the tram river system until April 30, 2024, which also leads to disabilities. Friedrich-Engels-Straße will be blocked for media releases until June 27, 2025, which also affects bus traffic. Pendulum buses are set up to replace the affected lines. The list of construction sites is long and the patience of the citizens is put to the test!
