Insolvency drama in Hildburghausen: Autohaus season is fighting for rescue!

A big drama in the automotive industry: the Autohaus Season Group, an important player in Thuringia and Bavaria, got into the provisional bankruptcy! On October 28, the Meiningen district court ordered the insolvency administration for the company. Experts of Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH and FRH lawyers were employed as preliminary insolvency administrators to steer the company's fortunes.

The Autohaus Staffel Group operates a total of seven locations, including Hildburghausen, Schleusingen, Sonneberg, Suhl, Coburg and Kronach, and sells vehicles from the Opel, Ford and Mitsubishi brands. With 165 employees, the group faces an unsafe future, but the salaries of the employees are secured by bankruptcy money by the end of the year. On October 31, the insolvency administrators announced that the business is continued at all locations, while various renovation options are being examined. There could be a total solution for the group and individual solutions for the individual locations.

Causes of bankruptcy: liquidity problems and buying retention

The bankruptcy is due to serious liquidity problems caused by falling sales in the current recession in Germany. Managing Director Manfred Staffel said: "We hope that a rescue of our group will succeed together with the bankruptcy administrators." The difficult framework conditions in the automotive industry have also tightened the situation. The preliminary insolvency administrators are optimistic and have already held talks with suppliers and financing partners to ensure the continuation of the business company.

The main company, Autohaus M. Staffel GmbH, employs over 80 people and is headed by lawyer Sebastian Laboga. The future of the Autohaus Staffel Group remains uncertain, but everyone involved does everything they can to save the company and support the employees.
