Greiz cleans up: Citizens tackle the big autumn cleaning!

Greiz. In Obergrochlitz there is not only talk-there is tackling! The residents armed themselves with brooms, shovels and scissors to make their district shine. An impressive joint project that shows how much passion is in this community!

The youngest helpers, Toni, Lea, Max and Ferdinand, were part of a group of 25 committed citizens in Caselwitz, who were fully enthusiastic about the big autumn cleaning. The call of the Obergrochlitz district council mobilized the neighbors and the result is impressive! Roads and sidewalks were freed from the leaves, shrubs were cut and the last grass stalle mowed on the slopes. In central places such as the bus stop, the small fairground and the monument, the Greizer provided a sparkling clean surroundings. An excavator from the Pippig company was in use to remove the proliferating plants and old rose bushes - here should blossom new!

In the Eichleite residential area, the fallen autumn leaves was disposed of in a container provided by the city administration. A lot of love and care was given to the facility on the fountain, which has been cherished and cared for by hard -working residents for years. "The district council is particularly pleased about the great participation of almost 70 inhabitants in the three districts," emphasized Mayor Holger Steiniger (left). He thanked everyone who ensures cleanliness and order from their plots all year round.

With this great commitment of the Greiz citizens, not only the surroundings are embellished, but also strengthened the sense of community. And best of all: the next climax is already at the door - the Christmas ambience on the first Advent! The anticipation in a festive mood is already noticeable!
