Chaos in the district: Incredible breakdowns and thefts on October 8th!
Eschwege was recently the scene of several incidents that keep the local police busy. A remarkable accident occurred on October 8, 2024, when a 57-year-old truck driver from Erfurt parked to the Kurhessen Clinic in Bad Sooden-Allendorf during the delivery. As he unloaded the goods, a trolley got rolling and tipping towards a parked VW Tiguan. The rear window of the vehicle was completely destroyed, which led to property damage of around 1500 euros.
Such accidents can quickly happen and show how important it is to secure vehicles well while unloading. It remains to be seen whether the insurance company pays the costs of the damage or whether the driver is held responsible in any form.
