A dramatic fire caused excitement this morning in a residential building in Eisenach (Wartburgkreis)! A fire broke out in a three -story building, which initially caught a stroller in the stairwell and spread quickly in the basement. The fire brigade and rescue workers were on the spotlight and released a total of twelve people from the flames. Among the injured are a child and a brave fireman, who both suffered slight flue gas poisoning.

The firefighters worked with high pressure to save the residents while the emergency services hurried to help with aerial ladder. Fortunately, all those affected were quickly taken care of. The injured child was immediately taken to the hospital. But the misfortune has left its mark: the house is now uninhabitable, and the city administration is urgently organizing emergency shelters for those affected.

Over 40 brave emergency services were on site to fight the fire. The streets around Johannisplatz were closed so as not to hinder the extinguishing work.
