Altenburg. Dr. Med Rainer Fruth is now the new chief physician of the Clinic for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery in the Altenburger Land Clinic. Since October 2023 he has taken responsibility for the team of doctors and has a broad experience from various renowned facilities.

Fruth's professional path began studying medical studies at the University of Leipzig. After completing his degree, he gained valuable experiences in several clinics, including in Erfurt and Rudolstadt. An important step in his career was the change to the Dresden-Neustadt municipal hospital in 2000, where he had acted as a senior doctor since 2009 and headed the emergency center. Fruth moved to the Zeisigwald clinics in Bethanien in Chemnitz in 2016, where he also worked as a senior doctor and headed the Department of Trauma Surgery.
