Martin celebration and jazz: A weekend full of highlights in Altenburger Land!

Altenburger Land. An exciting weekend is in the Altenburger Land! From gripping lectures to the history of Thuringia to thrilling jazz sounds in Altenburg and a festive club party in Kosma - there is something for everyone here!

On Saturday, November 9th, the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Nöbdenitz will invite Martin celebration at 5 p.m. The children, parents and grandparents can look forward to a moving Martin prayer, with which Pastor Dietmar Wiegand tells the history of St. Martin and, together with Anneliese Pel, is familiar with well -known songs. After the prayer, a festive lampion parade through Nöbdenitz continues, accompanied by the Spiellute Union "Frisch forward" and the volunteer fire brigade. The highlight of the evening? A big martin fire that illuminates the night while visitors can fortify themselves with warm sausages and hot punch!

a look into the past and a festival for the clubs

On Friday, November 8th, at 2 p.m., the castle and playing card museum Altenburg invites you to an exciting tour of the exhibition "From the Dark of People". Archaeologist Matthias Wöhrl will take visitors on a journey through time through the millennia of settlement history between Saale and Pleisse. And that's not all! On the same evening from 6:30 p.m., the large club party of Sparkasse Altenburger Land will take place in the Kulturhof Kosma. This celebration is a thank you to over 50 committed clubs that were creative and sporty in the anniversary year of the Sparkasse. The winners of the two competitions "Your club presented 200" and "step by step for Altenburger Land" are ceremoniously chosen!

and for the jazz lovers: On Saturday, November 9th, at 8 p.m., the piano trio Shramm in the Haus am Maßberg in Kriebitzsch will enter the stage. With their new EP "November Blues" they promise an unforgettable evening full of contemporary jazz sounds that will captivate the audience. Cards can already be reserved - a must for every music fan!
