Literary highlight: Altenburger Bookquartet as a guest in Prößdorf!

The 13th Altenburger Bookquartet will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024 in the picturesque atmosphere of the church in Prößdorf. This literary event is moderated by well-known personalities from the region, including Kristin Jahn, Secretary General of the Evangelical Church Day, and Birgit Seiler, head of the nature and environmental protection department in the district. The event is enriched by the participation of the director of the Altenburger Museums, Roland Krischke, and a surprise guest.

This year's program comprises four selected works that deal with the relationship between people and the sea in a variety of ways. Visitors can look forward to classics such as "Billy Budd" by Hermann Melville and "The Old Man and Das Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. In addition, modern works such as "Ice" by Ulla-Lena Lundberg and "Open Sea" by Ben Myers are also discussed.
