Scholz secures Ukraine massive support: fight against Russia continues!

Kiew, Ukraine - Kyiv (dpa) - a historical moment for Ukraine! After two and a half years, Chancellor Olaf Scholz Kiev visited and illuminated the Ukrainian capital with a clear message of support. President Wolodymyr Selenskyj left no doubt as important this help is: "Germany is number one in support for Ukraine with almost 30 billion euros!" In an emotional video address, Selenskyj personally thanked Scholz and the German people: "Thank you, Olaf, and I thank your country, thank you Germany!"

Scholz promised to continue the arms deliveries to Ukraine and addressed a clear message to Moscow: "We have staying power. And we will be at the side of Ukraine as long as necessary." Armor goods worth 650 million euros are to be delivered this year, including dozens of combat tanks, thousands of rockets as well as drones and aircraft systems. But not all wishes were fulfilled: Scholz rejected the request for Taurus marching aircraft, which could theoretically also hit goals in Russia, and explained that this is related to the range and target control.

Selenskyj: A signal to the world

Selenskyj emphasized the importance of German support for Ukraine: "This will be the most important signal to all of our other partners." He demanded that the scope of help should not decrease, regardless of the fluctuations in world politics. They are growing in Kiev, especially in view of Donald Trump's possible return as US President who could endanger support for Ukraine. A one -sided peace that favors Russia could bring Ukraine into an even more difficult location, while the Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin remains aggressive.
