Bike hiking trail in Bad Oldesloe renovated: safer for all cyclists!
Bad Oldesloe, Deutschland - Bad Oldesloe. An important upgrade for cyclists in the Stormarn district! The renovation of a section of the bike hiking trail between the K 94 in Rümpel and Bad Oldesloe has now been successfully completed. This measure meets the increasing importance of bicycle traffic and ensures a safe and comfortable driving experience for all cyclists.
The previous state of the path was anything but ideal: with a width of only 2.00 m and numerous bumps, the use was often tedious. The pavement was very worn out, especially on gradients and gradients. In addition, plants had spread on the edges that disabled the water outflow and further narrowed the path. Thanks to the renovation, the path has now been widened to 2.50 m to promote encounter traffic and the use by cargo bikes or bicycles with supporters. A new on -board system ensures that caring for the path is also made easier.
investment in the future
The renovation extended over an approximately 250 m long section and cost around 92,000 euros. These costs were partially covered by FAG funds from the state of Schleswig-Holstein, which were made available to the Stormarn district for 2024. With these investments, not only the infrastructure is improved, but also the security and comfort for cyclists in the Stormarn district significantly increased.
