A VW Passat, filled to the edge, attracted her attention. But instead of luggage or travel utensils, the car turned out to be a means of transport for 103 racing pigeons that were housed in large wooden boxes!

"Due to violations of the animal health law, the onward journey with the animals was prohibited," said Timo Knorr, spokesman for the Ratzeburg police department. In close cooperation with the Veterinary Office of the Stormarn district, it was decided that the 42-year-old has to bring his feathered friends back to the seller-but only with a suitable transport option.
