Art game in the department store: Discover your inner child in Bad Oldesloe!

in Bad Oldesloe, art lovers expect a very special experience: From October 2024 to January 2025, an exciting art exhibition will take place in the former C&A department store at Mühlenstraße 19. There, 16 talented artists present: inside from northern Germany their works under the title "Spaces ... play undisturbed ... dream ... time". The aim of this creative initiative is to reinvent the inner child of the visitors: re -infect inside and give them the opportunity to become creative themselves.

"Pussies instead of everyday life, art instead of clothing" - with these words, Hilkka Zebothsen, the chairwoman of the newly founded association [INFIOR], describes the vision of the exhibition. In the heart of Bad Oldesloe, in an empty department store with an area of 1500 m², a space is created that invites you to look at both quiet view and interactive experiences. Visitors have the opportunity to lie under the exhibited works, to move or to lead a dialogue with artists present: inside. The aspect is particularly exciting that guests can actively help shape: At various stations they can change the works of art or create their own creations.

art as an experimental space

The atmosphere of this special exhibition is shaped by interactivity. Friderike Bielfeld, one of the exhibiting artists, emphasizes how the installations should raise questions and enable different associations. Visitors are invited to develop their own thoughts on the works of art and thus make a personal relationship to art. "Like a puzzle, one to another," Bielfeld describes the creative process behind the exhibition, which was implemented in a short time and forms an overall concept.

"The consumer offer is sold out," explains Hans-Uwe Hähn, painter and poet. "The art events are in the sensual flow, as consciousness, what is missing." Here the emptiness of the department store becomes the space of the possibilities in which visitors can bring in their own content. The level of departments is therefore not only considered a loss, but also as an opportunity to open new perspectives on art and community.

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on October 18 at 5:30 p.m. On this day, the former department store will be made accessible to the public for the first time. The association [Impured] regularly informs about further opening times and planned events on its website as well as on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

In addition to changing sub -exhibitions by the end of January 2025, readings, concerts and artists' talks are also planned, which expand the cultural offer and for further interaction between artists: inside and visiting.

The association [Importion] for Art in Stormarn originated in the former Förderverein Kunsthaus am Schünzg e.V., which was reoriented in 2023 after the sale of the educational and conference center. In addition to the organization of the well -known art fair Kunstwerk in Bad Oldesloe, the association is also committed to networking and promoting artists: inside in the Stormarn region and beyond.
