Oil track and accident: A23 temporarily blocked at Hanerau-Hademarschen!

A dramatic incident shook the A23 connection point Hanerau-Hademarschen on Thursday afternoon (November 7th)! Drivers had to adjust to massive restrictions when a dangerous oil track made the departure at Besdorf impassable. But that was not all - a heavy collision between a Volvo and a motorhome also caused chaos on the highway, which briefly came to a standstill!

around 11.45 a.m. it crashed north before the departure. The 61-year-old Volvo driver told the police that the motorhome suddenly moved from the right to the left lane to overtake a truck. As a result, the Volvo crashed into the left rear of the motorhome. But the occupants of the motorhome had a different story: they claimed to have already been on the left lane when the accident happened. The passenger of the Volvos was slightly injured and received immediate medical help from paramedics.

oil track causes additional problems

During the rescue and cleanup, the A23 was completely closed for about 20 minutes. Then the traffic on the left lanes was narrowed. According to the police, the oil track, which resulted in a longer block for the departure, was not the cause of the accident. A cause for the oil track has not yet been determined. A special company was commissioned to clean the dangerous route.

Witnesses of the accident are urgently asked to contact the Elmshorn motorway police at 04121/40920!
