Electricity and gas prices in the Segeberg district: Customers save up to 619 euros!

Kreis Segeberg. A ray of hope for consumers in Segeberg: The electricity and gas prices will decrease significantly in 2025! Thanks to the sunken procurement prices on the market, Stadtwerke Norderstedt, Kaltenkirchen and Bad Bramstedt can offer their customers relief. The energy crisis finally seems to lose swing, and the local providers pass on the savings directly to consumers.

Stadtwerke Norderstedt have announced that the electricity price in basic supply drops by 10.21 cents per kilowatt hour. Despite an increase in the basic price of 34.82 euros per year, an average household with an consumption of 2500 kilowatt hours will save around 216 euros a year. Gas prices also drop by 3.74 cents per kilowatt hour, which means savings of around 619 euros per year for a typical household customer with a consumption of 17,000 kilowatt hours. "We have always emphasized that our prices remain stable and that has now occurred," explains André Reißweck, who is responsible for the energy procurement.

Stadtwerke Kaltenkirchen: Power price drops by 22 percent

The Stadtwerke Kaltenkirchen follow up and reduce electricity prices by impressive 22 percent and gas prices by 13 percent. From January 2025, a kilowatt hour of electricity costs only 28.99 cents gross. Managing Director Olaf Nimz is pleased about the positive development: "We have a good shopping strategy and were able to achieve good prizes on the procurement market." Stadtwerke Bad Bramstedt also reports on a reduction in electricity prices by almost 18 percent, while the gas price drops from 11.78 cents to 10.5 cents per kilowatt hour.

EWS Segeberg: Not dependent on the currently expensive spot market

The EWS Segeberg/Wahlstedt explains that their price reductions are based on a forward-looking shopping strategy. Managing Director Marco Voß emphasizes that the prices for 2025 are already secured. The basic price for electricity drops by 8.96 cents to 36.94 cents gross per kilowatt hour, which means annual savings of EUR 307.51 for an average household with consumption of 3,500 kilowatt hours. The gas price is also reduced to 12.72 cents per kilowatt hour.
