New residential area in Garstedt: Ohechaussee becomes the green center!

Norderstedt. An exciting new living project accepts shapes! A striking residential area with around 200 apartments will be built in the Garstedt district, directly on the Ohechaussee. A public park is also planned to upgrade the living environment. The city of Norderstedt officially announced these exciting news.

The project provides for both funded and freed-financed apartments to create for various user groups. The residential complexes are grouped around a green interior, which promises a harmonious living climate. The basic plans were already decided in the Committee on Urban Development, Environment and Transport in September. Now it is getting serious: On Tuesday, November 5th, the designs of the development plan "An der Ohechaussee" will be presented at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Coppernicus High School. From 6.30 p.m., interested parties have the opportunity to look at the plans and ask questions.

ohecaussee: space for seniors, families, bakery and daycare

Nine buildings are built, which offer at least half of the apartments. In addition to senior apartments and family apartments, commercial rooms are also planned for a bakery and a daycare center. The buildings will be three to four floors, with a striking six-storey building that shapes the entrance to the new district. Parking spaces for the residents are accommodated in an underground car park, while public parking spaces are also planned for visitors.

The entrance and exit to the new residential area takes place via the ohecaussee, whereby an exit via Robert-Schumann-Straße is also possible. In order to optimize traffic, the folding bollards are moved in the Aspelohe. The plans also include measures for noise protection and the preservation of existing green areas.
