Feuerwache Bad Segeberg: Community tour before completing the project in danger!
A remarkable construction project in Bad Segeberg is currently significantly behind the timetable-the new fire station! The celebration was planned for an earlier inauguration, but reality looks different: instead, the impressive million project is now in default for nine months! Community leader Mark Zielinski and building manager Antje Langethal, who promote the construction project together, will no longer experience the move to the new building. Zielinski will step down in January, while Langethal will remain in office until October 2024.
The new tool shed, which extends over 5000 square meters, is estimated with a proud 20 million euros and comprises 22 large goals! The challenges that the construction work bring with them are enormous. In addition to the long approval phase, the project was thrown back by a terrible winter weather with heavy rain by three months! "It was a bit stupid," said Langethal frustrated about the circumstances.
However, the difficulties do not end in the weather! Lack of staff among the companies involved is dramatically noticeable. "When an excavator driver gets sick, you will often not find a replacement immediately," said Langthal. In addition, there is also a certain time pressure due to funding of 1.8 million euros, which are bound to strict deadlines. Here, certain energy standards must be observed, which prepares additional headaches for the city of Bad Segeberg. Despite these obstacles, the site manager will remain optimistic: "After installation, we can look forward to installing the sheet metal facade soon!"
The city's eyes are therefore firmly aimed at completion. If nothing happens on the construction site for curious citizens, skepticism could grow quickly. However, responsible people emphasize that progress has already been made inside - from screed covers to the installation of a large -scale ventilation system. The next stage is just around the corner and it remains to be seen whether the delays will continue to hinder progress.
