Brunsbüttel in focus: hydrogen network approved for the energy transition!
A crucial step for the future of hydrogen! The Federal Network Agency has finally approved the hydrogen kernel network! But now there is a surprising turn: the network operator has withdrawn from the management in Brunsbüttel after the green light of the authority. Environmental Secretary Joschka Knuth (Greens) has announced quick measures to found a new hydrogen network company in which the country will also be involved. Brunsbüttel thus becomes a central location for hydrogen supply, which is considered indispensable for the energy transition.
Brunsbüttel in the focus of the energy transition
"The investments will bear the country!", Knuth assures a clear commitment to hydrogen connection. This measure is not only an opportunity for the region, but also a necessity. The latest developments, such as the opening of the ammonia import terminal, show: Brunsbüttel is on the right track to become a center for alternative energies. "The import infrastructure and the electrolysis projects must now be promoted to get the energy transition going," said Knuth. The financing should be carried out by network charges and regulatory measures.
In this charged atmosphere, Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) has also announced the approval for the hydrogen kernel network. But the network operators in Schleswig-Holstein have backed up and withdrawn the lines planned for the core network. This could complicate the plans for hydrogen connection. Nevertheless, the claim remains: Brunsbüttel is at the center of a revolutionary energy transition!
