Schleswig-Holstein's Prime Minister Günther on Japan: Strengthening cooperation!

Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) goes to Japan on Saturday with an extensive delegation to further strengthen the economic and scientific relationships between Schleswig-Holstein and the Hyogo partner region. The program includes visits in Kobe, the capital of Hyogo, and in Tokyo, where there are various political conversations and company visits until October 11th.

The delegation consists of around 50 members and is also supplemented by important personalities such as digitization minister Dirk Schrödter, Minister of Economics Claus Ruhe Madsen and Landtag President Kristina Herbst (all CDU). In addition, there are the group leaders of the Greens and FDP, Lasse Petersdotter and Christopher Vogt, who are also part of this important journey.

Central topics of the trip

A central focus of the one -week company is on current technological developments. In particular, topics such as artificial intelligence, maritime technologies and renewable energies will focus on the discussions. These technologies are not only future-oriented, but also crucial for the economic development of Schleswig-Holstein.

"The Hyogo and Schleswig-Holstein Prefecture are coastal regions with strong maritime economy," said Günther before his departure. "We want to continue our successful cooperation and expand it even further." The cooperation between the two regions has existed since 1997 and is officially deepened by signing a new explanation in Kobe.

In addition, discussions on cooperation in the areas of healthcare and science are held, which are intended to form the basis for future projects. These topics are of great importance for both sides, since they can contribute to innovation and strengthening the regional economy.

The trip to Japan is evaluated by the State Chancellery as an important step towards international collaborations in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and technologies. With a visit to Japan, the delegation pursues the goal of not only consolidating existing relationships, but also making new partnerships.

Overall, the trip is accompanied by a positive reception that underlines the importance of international cooperation. Prime Minister Günther and his delegation are confident that the talks in Japan will also provide fruitful results and create the basis for future collaborations.
