New Baumschulmuseum in Pinneberg: 60 million for a green future project!

The existing Baumschulmuseum in Pinneberg-Thesdorf, the only in all of Germany, has reached its limits: personnel bottlenecks, inadequate equipment and an unfavorable location slow down.

As the district of Pinneberg explains, the new museum should bear the name "Vivaneum" and could be completed by 2031. The estimated costs for this ambitious project? Around 60 million euros! But the circle firmly believes in success: Future -oriented 130,000 guests should pass the gates of the new Vivaneum every year. In contrast, the existing museum can only be opened from May to October and only attracts modest 3,000 visitors each year: inside.
