V období od júla 2022 do júna 2023 bolo zaregistrovaných pôsobivých päť búrok, zatiaľ čo v predchádzajúcej sezóne bolo zdokumentovaných sedem búrkových situácií! The Baltic Sea remains unpredictable, since low water phases, two in 2022/2023 and four in 2021/2022, also performed again and again. Najdôležitejšie úrovne v okolí zálivu Kiel, Eckernförde, Rendsburg a Otholstein sú rozhodujúce pre obyvateľov a ukazujú súčasný stav vecí.

Rôzne triedy búrkových povodní sú alarmujúce: „nárast búrky“ je medzi 1,00 a 1,25 metra nad strednou hladinou vody, zatiaľ čo „stredný nárast búrky“ siahne až 1,50 metrov! Ale to nie je všade „ťažký nárast búrky“, už sme na 2,00 metrov a s „veľmi silným nárastom búrok“ hodnoty dokonca presahujú známku 2 metrov!

In and around Kiel-Holtenau, the water levels were carefully monitored. The highest value that has ever been measured in this region was a breathtaking 797 centimeters - a record that has existed since 1872! The predictions are worrying and the flood center observes the location meticulously. The population must be prepared for it!

How is warned? Official bodies such as the flood center and local authorities are ready if the level should reach threatening heights. Warnings spread through radio, television, loudspeaker cars and even social media to inform and protect the citizens in good time. With a storm surge, it is of the utmost importance to be attentive and to put security in the first place!
