Nocturnal full closures on A1: Drivers have to reschedule!

Drivers have to prepare for some inconvenience during the coming nights when they are on the A1 between Pansdorf and Sereetz. Between the 14th and 17th October, the highway is completely closed at night, since urgently needed repair work is carried out on the lanes. This was announced by the State Road Construction and Transport (LBV).

The work is essential because the traffic area is severely restricted by the existing construction site. Therefore, the repair can only be carried out securely with a temporary full closure of the respective direction of travel. In order to save the inconveniences as far as possible to the road users, the work falls into the late night.

The exact blocking times are determined as follows:

• from Monday to Wednesday, 14 to 16 October: In the night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Fehmarn directional lane is closed. The traffic is diverted via the U85 to the Pansdorf junction.
• From Wednesday to Thursday, 16th to October 17th: In the same period, i.e. from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the nightly blocking takes place in the direction of travel in Lübeck. Here the traffic from the Pansdorf junction via the U104 and U108 to the Sereetz junction is redirected.

These plans are crucial to optimize the traffic conditions during the construction work and to control vehicle traffic in the best possible way. While the repair measures last, it remains to be seen how the traffic situation in the region will develop.
