Malente, Deutschland - In Malente it is bubbling! The Kursaal was filled to the last seat when the renowned architect Hadi Tehrani presented his visionary project "Lakeside Resort". With an impressive multimedia show, he kidnapped the audience into a world full of spectacular architecture and breathtaking nature. A luxurious spa hotel is planned, which is to be created as the “Germany's most beautiful spa hotel” in the picturesque environment of Malente-Krummsee.

Tehrani, who has already received numerous awards with his creative ideas, explained that the spiral building should be "peeled out of the property like a custom suit". It will not only hug the hilly landscape, but also offer guests an incomparable nature experience. With 220 hotel rooms, three restaurants, a spacious wellness area and a children's world, the resort becomes a real paradise for those seeking relaxation. The investment amount is up to 180 million euros, and around 300 jobs are created that could bloom the region.

However, the plans are not just enthusiastic. While some politicians celebrate the resort as the future “symbol of Holstein Switzerland”, there are also critical voices. Ralf Brokelmann expressed concerns about the dimensions of the project and demanded a reduction in size. "I want a lower presence," said Brokelmann. Tehrani himself admitted that it had already been working on a reduction in the building, but emphasized the need for certain order of magnitude for the economic profitability of the resort.

The municipality will now examine the objections of the citizens and the sponsor of public issues. A decision could be made by late summer 2025, with a possible opening of the spa hotel in 2028 or 2029.
