Eutin and Ostholstein: Preparations for the 2025 Bundestag election!
Eutin. On February 23, 2025, a new Bundestag will be chosen! The cities of Bad Schwartau, Eutin, Heiligenhafen and Neustadt are under pressure to prepare everything in time. Preparations are in full swing, because the appointment comes faster than expected! The first steps have already been started in Bad Schwartau: Elective districts are determined and the necessary materials such as election notifications and ballot papers are ordered, reports Dennis Wiese, head of the regulatory office.
But the challenge is great! Bad Schwartau needs 140 election workers for the choice and the recruitment could be difficult. Six administration employees are already in use to prepare the election for around 16,500 eligible voters. The costs for the election are estimated at around 25,000 to 30,000 euros. It will also be exciting in Heiligenhafen: 40 to 50 election workers are sought here, and vacation planning could make preparations difficult. The total costs amount to around 12,000 euros.
Election worker urgently wanted!
In Eutin, a citizens' decision on school development is prepared in parallel, which also makes the organization complicated. City spokeswoman Kerstin Stein-Schmidt explains that the election workers can only be convened after December 15th to avoid confusion. Eutin needs 123 election workers, while the municipality of Süsel 102 needs. The total costs for the election in Eutin are estimated at 20,000 to 25,000 euros.
Neustadt is also in full swing! Mayor Mirko Spieckermann reports that the election district is already completed and 144 election workers are required. The financial expenses for the election are estimated at around 30,000 euros. Preparations are already in full swing, and the employees have no vacation in the acute election phase. Time is urged, because the election documents must be prepared and sent as soon as possible!
