Eutin plans a living dream: cross -generational houses at the Forsthof!

In Eutin, an interesting residential project is planned to address both young families and older people. The architecture firm Erxleben from Ratekau is planning to build up to twelve new apartments in a first -class location, just a few steps from the Great Eutiner See. These are to be accommodated in four different buildings. The architect Christian Erxleben has already presented concrete designs and convinced the members of the urban development committee from his concept.

The site that was formerly part of the state garden show is located near a daycare center. Erxleben has set itself the goal of creating a cross -generational living concept that is tailored to the needs of both young families and the older, cultural -savvy generation. In particular, part of the new apartments should be designed barrier -free in order to facilitate access.

planned apartments and the concept

According to Erxleben, the construction project "Something nice in a beautiful environment" will create. The master plan provides for building a building with three to four apartments next to the old Forsthof. The development of the buildings through the existing path from Oldenburger Landstrasse plays an important role. In addition to a residential building, two double houses are also planned, which should offer a diverse living situation.

There were ambiguities with regard to the presentation of the project on the website of the architecture office, where the designs were initially declared as apartments. Erxleben said that this concept was no longer up to date because Eutin urgently needs living space. "Logistically, that makes no sense for me. In addition, Eutin needs living space," says the architect.

The planned residential units will be between 45 and 90 square meters, and Erxleben emphasized that it is not high-priced apartments. They do not make sense for the city of Eutin. The promotion of the historical environment is also part of the concept, which should ensure a harmonious integration of the new buildings into the neighborhood.

since 2021, Erxleben has been pursuing this project and emphasizes that the situation offers many advantages: with a kindergarten and cultural offers in the immediate vicinity, the area is particularly attractive for families. In addition, the city center can be easily reached on foot, which is increasingly the case today. The architect plans to buy the property and develop together with partners. There are also discussions for the exchange with residents and the integration into the neighborhood - the residents of the maiden resort who had expressed interest in the property during the state garden show are also involved in the planning process.

This is how the architect's ideas look for houses at the Alte Forsthof: Ten residential units are to be built in four buildings.
