Horse keeping in the Tornesch: How to save clever at the costs!

horse owner in Tornesch faces a financial challenge: The costs for the care of your beloved animals are rising rapidly! Susanne Röske, the head of Susy’s pension stable, knows the worries of the riders only too well. "Many would do anything to take care of their horses, even sell their car," she says. But reality is tough: high energy prices and the decline in available space for hay drive the costs.

The solution? Clever action and cooperation! Horse owners should consider whether they can help with the hairy and get food in exchange. "Shopping together not only brings quantity discounts, but also saves time and money," advises Röseke. It is important to think carefully about which food the horse really needs in order not to end up in the minus at the end of the month.

Cost reduction through cooperation

Röske encourages the horse owners to get used utensils such as blankets and dishes via flea markets. "This saves money, but I advise against used saddles because they have to fit perfectly," she warns. The vet can also save money through collective dates. If several horses are vaccinated or treated at the same time, the travel costs and the basic fee decrease

Another tip: Check your insurance documents! Perhaps there are cheaper options that better match your needs. And not to forget: Carpools during rides and tournaments are not only environmentally friendly, but also a great way to share the transport costs. "Share of trailer places is common in the stable," says Röseke and invites all horse lovers to act cleverly and optimize their expenses.
