Bad Oldesloe. In a shook, the district court Lübeck on Tuesday has three Syrian brothers because of attempted homicide and dangerous physical injury on Tuesday convicted. The punishments are draconious: two brothers each have to go to prison for five years behind grids for six years. This decision exceeds the public prosecutor's request, who had only applied for four to five years in prison. The brothers who have been living in Germany for nine years took the judgment with shocked expressions.

The crime occurred almost exactly a year earlier in the Schanzbarg district. On November 23, the 29, 28 and 22-year-olds brutally attacked a 35-year-old man. The trigger was a harmless junk who brought the oldest brother to frenzy. "After that, the dispute could have ended," said the presiding judge Gesine Brunkow. But the 29-year-old called his brothers to help, and together they surrounded the victim at a bus stop, where the youngest brother was able to put together three times with a knife. A stab hit the lungs and only an emergency operation saved the man's life.

Bus driver prevented worse

The brutal attack only ended by intervening a bus driver, whose honk gave the victim the opportunity to escape and call help. Andreas O. was able to carry himself to a resident who immediately provided first aid. Despite the serious injuries, he has now recovered and now lives in Hamburg, where he found a new job. The defense of the brothers was surprised by the high punishments and plans to go into revision, while they themselves classified the deed as a dangerous bodily harm and not as an attempted manslaughter.
