U-boat U 34 returns: secret operations in the Baltic Sea unveiled!

Kiel. After a secret maneuver with the US aircraft carrier "Harry S. Truman", the German submarine "U 34" is back in Kiel on Wednesday Run. This return was unnoticed because the navy did not publish any details about the missions of their submarines. The submarines of the 1st submarine squadron operate in hidden, and the German Navy is back in information about their activities.

The submarine "U 34" had left its home port of Eckernförde in mid-September and took part in the maneuver Northern Coasts ahead of Bornholm. At the end of October it surprisingly appeared in the Scottish port of Leith, where it was part of the maneuver strike Warrior 2024, as the British Navy said. The port was only a few miles away from the practice areas in which the two aircraft carriers carried out their exercises.

With a special drive system, the "U 34" submarine trained NATO's submarine defense skills. It was supported by US Navy and Royal Navy, who used special reconnaissance aircraft, helicopters and destroyers. However, the results of these exercises are secret. The US Vice Admiral Jeffrey T. Anderson explained that the maneuver "Neptune Strike" is not aimed at a specific threat, but should promote the integration and improvement of fleet skills.

Now, after the intensive maneuvers, the crew of "U 34" has earned a well-deserved break for the time being. Two other German submarines, "U 32" and "U 35", are currently in the shipyard in Kiel, while the other submarines are located in Eckernförde's home port. The US Navy has now taken the North Sea, and given the recent tensions in the Middle East, the US Department of Defense is planning to move further ships and planes to the region.
